Stages
Foundation Stage
The foundational stage, which covers Pre-primary till Grade II, consists of play or activity-based learning with a focus on good behaviors, courtesy, ethics, personal and public hygiene, teamwork and cooperation, etc. The curriculum followed is child-centric with a lot of activity based learning taking place both in and outside the four walls of the classroom.
Preparatory Stage
The preparatory stage, which covers Grades III to V, transitions gradually from play-based learning to more formal but interactive classroom learning. Here the teacher becomes the group coordinator initiating work, nurturing students for laying the foundation. Strengthening of oral and written expression is emphasized more upon at this stage.
Middle Stage
The Middle Stage, which covers Grades VI to VIII, our greater focus is on subject learning and discussion of more abstract concepts in subjects like Science, Mathematics, Arts, Social Science, and Computer Application.
Secondary Stage
The High School (or Secondary) Stage, which covers Grades IX to XII, comprises four years of multidisciplinary study, building on the subject-oriented style but with greater depth, greater critical thinking, greater attention to life aspirations, and greater flexibility and student choice.
Senior School students of XI and XII all prepare for the Central Board Of Secondary Education examination. The students are offered the following streams:
- Science
- Commerce
- Humanities
Our curriculum is comprehensively designed to make learning fun, practical, lively and experimental in order to prepare each little champ for bigger challenges. Within a safe and stimulating environment, we focus on both, the curriculum as well as the skill development.
As per the experts, skills like critical thinking, solving real life issues, finance and budgeting and self-management can be best garnished at this stage of age as it is exactly when the scholars analyse, learn and master all excitedly and earnestly.
In order to understand the various levels of comprehension, the students are periodically assessed using creative assessment tools in all subjects.
The High School Stage may also allow exposure to more subjects and enable greater flexibility and more frequent assessments.
Auditorium
A well-equipped auditorium room is one of the notable features of the school. Important meetings, workshops and presentations are conducted over here as the room contains white boards, controllable lighting, laptop projection, wireless access and of course comfortable seating arrangement.
Sick Bay
The Sick Bay ensures student health with timely medical care.
Library
Library is a station that provides people with a place to access organized, validated information that can help them make informed decisions, complete assignments, explore personal interests, and much more. Information is the basic component of education and is vital to technological and scientific change. Thus, the library is a key place in the new global village of modern society. It serves as a central workshop where students can develop reading habits and teachers can supplement the curricular needs of students, and pursue action research.
Art and Craft Studio
At SIS , we believe in developing the aesthetic consciousness of children from a very early age, as this quality lies at the root of all civilized human endeavour. The development of tolerance for different forms of artistic expression is as important today as the ability to appreciate and create art itself.
Visual Arts is sincerely implemented in education at school to help the students bring out their creativity as well as develop their personalities. The gallery displays the artwork of the students to motivate and encourage artistic skills of the students.
Music and Dance Studio
The arena where sounds become music and create a therapeutic impact on the young developing Shauryas. The students under the guidance of trained professionals get to explore various musical instruments like keyboard, Congo, Drum set, Violin, Guitar, Tabla, Harmonium, melodica, Marcus, triangle, and cymbals. The students also receive training to develop their singing and vocal skills as well.
The performing arts are given great emphasis as it is the aim of our budding musicians and dancers at SIS to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of India. We wish to explore the aesthetic and spiritual mainspring of Indian classical and folk dance as well as of Eastern, Western, instrumental and vocal music.
Our teachers simplify the language of music to make it more attractive to young learners. You can learn what you understand – and thus begin a lifelong love affair.
The basis for Indian Music is sangeet which is a combination of three art forms - :

- Instrumental Music
- Dance
Staff Room
The school has equipped staff rooms for teachers where each teacher has a comfortable workstation to do the work. Separate cupboards are provided for each department to arrange reference books and reading materials. It's the place to share ideas and develop healthy relationships with colleagues.
Dance Room
There are spacious and well-equipped dance rooms for the Pre-Primary and Primary students which facilitate aesthetic and artistic nurturing of the young learners. Students get the opportunity to hone their artistic expression under the guidance of experts and technical equipment are provided to enhance the teaching- learning process.
Seminar Hall
The Seminar Hall is a venue for academic presentations, workshops, and seminars.
Reception
The Reception area welcomes visitors and assists with inquiries.
Playground
The Playground provides ample space for recreational and sports activities.
Athletic Ground
The Athletic Ground is designed for track and field events.
Sports
The Sports is a great asset for the school with a facility of many indoor sports like swimming pool, gymnasium, yoga, shooting range, table tennis, darts, aerobics and badminton. For outdoor games like basketball and skating, the facility of basketball court and skating rink also. Students are mentored by committed coaches, who use their knowledge and expertise to help young talents realise their potential. There is ample opportunity for the students to discover and develop their athletic and sporting talents to achieve international recognition.
Infirmary
The central infirmary is equipped with all the necessary facilities to address the immediate health needs of the students while they are in school. Qualified and experienced nurse is available on campus to manage and assess any health issues that may arise during school hours. A comprehensive medical record of each student is also maintained by the infirmary.
Multiple Activity Centres
We believe in the ancient Chinese proverb. I listen, I forget, I see, I remember, I do, I understand. The school is spaciously designed for fully equipped and state-of-the-art laboratories to cater to the needs of students in Biology Lab, Composite Lab, Mathematics Lab, Chemistry Lab, Physics Lab, Computer Science Lab, Assembly Hall and Audio-Visual Centre.
Composite Lab
The Composite Lab provides an interdisciplinary space for scientific exploration.
Chemistry Lab
The Chemistry Lab offers hands-on experiments for students studying chemical sciences.
Physics Lab
The Physics Lab allows students to explore the fundamental principles of physics.
Biology Lab
The Biology Lab enables students to study living organisms and ecosystems.
Maths Lab
It is a place where one can find a collection of mind games, puzzles and other learning materials. The materials are meant to be used by the students of primary and secondary to understand Mathematical concepts clearly. It helps them to explore the world of Mathematics and develop an interest in the subject. The Mathematics lab also creates opportunities to apply mathematical principles to solve real world problems through specially designed tasks.
ICT Lab
The ICT lab is equipped with modern computer systems, allowing students to explore concepts in Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology. Experienced teachers guide students through the process of learning and creating in a technologically advanced environment.
Assembly Hall
The Assembly Hall is a large venue for school-wide gatherings and assemblies.
